Catania Workshop 2009

The last EGI Workshop ("Transition Towards EGI") was held in Catania, Italy on 2 March, 2009, during the 4th EGEE User Forum / OGF 25 event.

------------------

The "Transition Towards EGI" Workshop focused on the processes associated with the transition from EGEE and other existing Grid infrastructures in Europe to the EGI model. The workshop provided a good opportunity to gain feedback on the plans expressed in the EGI transition Deliverable. It was composed of a series of presentations from the EGI_Design Study (EGI_DS) team, and users and representatives of different Grid infrastructures invited to share their views and expectations, as well as their potential worries about EGI.
